Hi Mr. Dorsey, Ms. Qazi, and HSTA students,
This video of the SIMS creator is exciting to watch to see what ideas he is working on now. It seems the audience is for all ages of young people, especially in the beginning. But as the game gets into more depth, older young people (like teenagers) may be more interested. In some ways, I was dissapointed in how simple the spore character is, almost like PAC man eating the first object that comes into view. But an advantage of this simple game is that it is a fun way to engage young people.

The role of tools engages the user with the spore growing and evolving. This way, the audience is directly involved with how the game develops. This is very empowering for the player, and it won't matter how old the player is. So there are different levels of creativity, depending on decisions that the player chooses. I think the purpose of the game is to develop a world, and the player's world can be quite different than what the designer would choose. This is what makes the game exciting for the player.

The game design and tools may be similar to FLASH, so now it makes me excited to begin getting familiar with FLASH.

HI Bill, I am wondering what is the best way for me to communicate with you, as the WVU mail system doesn't seem to be accepted by Kanawha School system and your e-mail continues to bounce back whenever I send you an e-mail.
Is there an easy solution here?
I have the site license number for the FLASH and PHOTOSHOP softwares and need to get them to you in a secure way.
